Lakeland has gone 8-2 against Kathleen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lakeland Dreadnaughts are taking a road trip to face off against the Kathleen Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lakeland and seven for Kathleen.

Last Saturday, Lakeland came up short against Boyd Anderson and fell 58-50. While losing is never fun, the Dreadnaughts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Cobras are ranked 107th).

Meanwhile, Kathleen had to suffer through a 71-38 loss at the hands of Lake Wales.

Kathleen's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Lakeland, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Lakeland beat Kathleen 65-57 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Kathleen's Jeremy Russell, who posted 19 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Lakeland to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
