Clearwater Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Nezperce Nighthawks. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Nighthawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Josh Gardner was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jake Fabbi was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Nezperce is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Clearwater Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-10 victory against Prairie on the 20th. Nezperce has also already played their next contest (against Potlatch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
