Baseball Game Preview: Weber Warriors vs. West Field Longhorns

The Weber Warriors will square off against the West Field Longhorns at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Wednesday, Weber didn't have quite enough to beat Clearfield and fell 6-5.

Weber saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bridger Lopshire, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, West Field earned a 5-2 win over Crimson Cliffs on Saturday. That looming 5-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Longhorns yet this season.

Tyce Abbott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

On the hitting side, Grady Garrett was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Another player making a difference was Conner Miles, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Weber's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for West Field, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
