Baseball Recap: Johnsonville Comes Up Short

Johnsonville fell victim to Green Sea Floyds and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The game marked the first time this year in which the Flashes were not able to get on the board.

Johnsonville dropped their record down to 10-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Green Sea Floyds, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnsonville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aynor at 6:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Green Sea Floyds, they will square off against Latta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
