Soccer Recap: First Baptist Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville last Monday, First Baptist Christian came back down to earth. The Knights took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rantoul Eagles on Monday. If First Baptist Christian were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Rantoul when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 7-2-1. As for Rantoul, they moved to 6-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

First Baptist Christian has already played their next match, an 8-0 win against Schlarman on the 9th. As for Rantoul, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-4 draw against Illinois Valley Central on the 7th.
