Fairfield is 8-2 against Whiteoak since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fairfield Lions take on the Whiteoak Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Fairfield came up short against Miami Trace and fell 52-42. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Whiteoak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Eastern, falling 68-45. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Warriors are ranked 288th).

Whiteoak's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.

Fairfield was able to grind out a solid win over Whiteoak in their previous matchup back in January, winning 56-43. Does Fairfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will Whiteoak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
