Roanoke Valley Christian had won five straight games and Luke Somers did his part to make it six on Monday. The Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES walked away with a 54-43 victory over the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys thanks to Somers, who went 11-for-19 on his way to 31 points and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Logan Gutierrez was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy lost, don't look at Ethan Hahn. Despite the final result, he earned 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Keep, who scored nine points and eight rebounds.

Roanoke Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
