Football Recap: Cromwell/Portland Panthers vs. Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cromwell/Portland). They breezed past Morgan/Old Saybrook/Westbrook to the tune of 49-14 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.
Cromwell/Portland had a senior duo take command as Michael Sitaro Jr. threw for 329 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes and Tyler Cipolla gained 254 total yards and four touchdowns. Cipolla's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. Rafael Mendez III helped Sitaro Jr. out on the ground, rushing for 69 yards and one score.
