Baseball Recap: Lamar Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lamar hadn't done well against McBee recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Silver Fox had just enough and edged out the Panthers 8-6. Winning may never get old, but the Silver Fox sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lamar now has a winning record of 6-5. As for McBee, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9-1 record this season.

McBee will square off against Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Volunteers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.61 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lamar will be paying especially close attention to McBee's game: after McBee faces off against Andrew Jackson, they'll take on Lamar again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
