After a string of five wins, Fairview's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the North East Grape Pickers by a score of 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gianna Campoli paced Fairview's offense, picking up 14 kills. Campoli got some help from Gaelie Hynes and her 34 assists. Campoli also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Avery Willow, each putting up five.

Fairview's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for North East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4-1 record this season.

Fairview has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Northwestern on the 25th. North East has also already played their next contest (against Mercyhurst Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
