Preview: Sumter vs. Woodmont

Woodmont fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Friday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will square off against Sumter at 7:30 p.m. ET. Both teams have allowed few points on average (Woodmont 18.2, Sumter 11), so any points scored will be well earned.

The Wildcats have to be hurting after a devastating 28-0 defeat at the hands of T.L. Hanna last week. Woodmont was down by 21 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Sumter didn't have too much trouble with Irmo as they won 34-14. Sumter can attribute much of their success to Nathan Harris-Waynick, who rushed for 120 yards and three TDs on 20 carries. Harris-Waynick has been one of Sumter's best players in each of their past eight games.

Sumter's victory lifted them to 9-0 while Woodmont's loss dropped them down to 6-4. We'll see if the Fighting gamecocks can repeat their recent success or if the Wildcats bounce back and reverse their fortune.
