Fletcher and Sandalwood are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Fletcher Senators will welcome the Sandalwood Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Fletcher is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since March 13, 2024 on Thursday. They came up short against Episcopal School of Jacksonville, falling 11-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Senators' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Fletcher saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakeb McDougall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sandalwood had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Wildcats.

The team relied heavily on James McLaren, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tobias Coughman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Sandalwood now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fletcher, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Fletcher was able to grind out a solid win over Sandalwood in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 3-0. Does Fletcher have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sandalwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
