Pearland extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They really took it to the Manvel Mavericks for the full four quarters, racking up a 66-14 victory. Considering the Oilers have won four games by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Ja'Maurey Champion, who rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Westmoreland, who threw for 154 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes.
