Basketball Recap: Chicago Tech Comes Up Short

Chicago Tech extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-13. They were outmatched by the Wells Raiders and fell 59-23. While losing is never fun, Chicago Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while Wells is ranked 198th).

As for Wells, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Wells was led to victory by Cornell Barrow and Jacoby Cail. Barrow posted 19 points, while Cail scored 18 points. Barrow continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylen McKissack, who put up eight points.

Chicago Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wells, they will take on Westinghouse at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.55 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
