It was a good run, but Midway unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Highlands Wildcats.

Lake Highlands was led to victory by Carrigan Anderly and Kendall Strosnider. Anderly had 14 assists and four digs, while Strosnider had four aces. That's the most assists Anderly has posted over her last six matches. Parker Horton also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Lake Highlands, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Midway has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Austin on the 23rd. As for Lake Highlands, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pearce on the 23rd.
