Soccer Recap: Canyon Find Success

Canyon lost to El Dorado on January 10th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Canyon Comanches beat the El Dorado Golden Hawks by a goal, winning 2-1. Luke Ward had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Comanches.

Canyon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five contests. As for El Dorado, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7-3.

Canyon and El Dorado should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Canyon (ranked 96th) will meet Sunny Hills (ranked 232nd) at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, El Dorado will square off against Yorba Linda at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 314 places (263 vs. 577).
