It's playoff time, and Colorado had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Floydada Whirlwinds on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wolves, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Mia Obenhaus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Taelynn Oden, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Goodney, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Colorado's win bumped their record up to 25-7-1. As for Floydada, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 29-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Whirlwinds beat Colorado by a score of 13-12 later that day.
