Recap: O'Neill Eagles vs. Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays

The O'Neill Eagles suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the road and fell 64-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points O'Neill has scored all season.

O'Neill's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bergyn Classen, who scored eight points.

O'Neill bumped their record down to 5-9 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

O'Neill will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Neligh-Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Neligh-Oakdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine two weeks ago. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Cedar Catholic on Saturday. Cedar Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Guardian Angels Central Catholic is ranked eighth).
