Volleyball Recap: Ripley Beats Chapmanville Regional for Their Third Straight Win

Ripley waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Chapmanville Regional Tigers.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Ripley was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13.

Ripley can attribute much of their success to Delaney Howery, who had nine digs and three aces. What's more, Howery posted four assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Howery wasn't the only good server: Ripley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Ripley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripley will head out to face off against South Charleston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Chapmanville Regional, they will take on Belfry at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
