Basketball Recap: Rock Point Cougars vs. Williams Vikings
Rock Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williams Vikings. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 69-61 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Williams got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Rue-Wilbur out in front who went 5 of 6 on his way to 17 points in addition to five assists and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Rue-Wilbur a new career-high in blocks (three). Mario Pedraza was another key player, going 9 for 16 en route to 21 points and three steals.
Rock Point's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Williams, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
