Basketball Recap: Hayden Walker and Brailyn Tullous Secure Win for Jacksboro

Jacksboro lost to Ropes back in December of 2017, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Jacksboro Tigers enjoyed a cozy 52-35 victory over the Ropes Eagles.

Jacksboro was led to victory by Brailyn Tullous and Hayden Walker. Tullous went 6 for 12 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals, while Walker posted 17 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Walker's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Lowther, who put up eight points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Jacksboro was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Jacksboro has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Ropes, they moved to 15-5 with that defeat, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Jacksboro didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-23 loss against New Home on the 27th. As for Ropes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 42-29 defeat against Vega on the 27th.
