Federal Hocking's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the South Gallia Rebels by a score of 6-1. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Brynley Harknees spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Sophia Wilkes was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Rorie Tabler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Federal Hocking always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Gallia only posted an OBP of .355.

The win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 3-13. As for South Gallia, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Federal Hocking will head out to challenge Frontier at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for South Gallia, they are taking a road trip to square off against East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
