Softball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for May River

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask May River). They walked away with a 10-7 win over the John Paul II Golden Warrriors on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Sharks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Charlotte Berkley, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Mckayla Landry was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

May River's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3.

May River wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-2 win against James Island on the 14th. John Paul II will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Laurence Manning Academy at 6:00 p.m. on April 1st.
