Owen Steward posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Steward's strong effort led Dayspring Christian Academy over Bishop Machebeuf and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
