Basketball Recap: Irving Comes Up Short

Irving was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by the Richardson Eagles 64-17. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-21 back in December of 2025.

Irving's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Richardson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-17.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Irving is set to challenge their familiar foe Pearce at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Richardson will square off against rival Nimitz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
