Cape Hatteras had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 16-11 win over the Columbia Wildcats on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hurricanes also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Cape Hatteras' victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Columbia, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Cape Hatteras and Columbia could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Hurricanes will take on Eastern Christian HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (354 vs. 36). Meanwhile, Columbia (ranked 414th) will meet Bear Grass Charter (ranked 54th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
