Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes vs. Estes Park Bobcats

The Bishop Machebeuf Buffaloes will square off against the Estes Park Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Estes Park took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bishop Machebeuf, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Bishop Machebeuf was able to grind out a solid win over Platte Canyon, taking the game 41-31.

Bishop Machebeuf found their leader in sophomore Justina Cichos, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 22 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Cichos a new career-high in steals (eight). Charis Beckwith was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Bishop Machebeuf smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 33 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Estes Park played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Heritage Christian, falling 67-11. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Estes Park and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Bishop Machebeuf, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
