Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs vs. IC Imagine Kingfishers

The Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs will head out to challenge the IC Imagine Kingfishers on Monday. Mountain View Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Mountain View Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Lure Classical Academy, taking the game 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Lakelee Carr made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Alex Dean was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Tyler Taylor also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Mountain View Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, IC Imagine lost 13-3 to The Master's Academy on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Kingfishers in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Mountain View Christian Academy's record is now 4-8. As for IC Imagine, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Mountain View Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against IC Imagine in their previous matchup last Thursday as they fell 9-6. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
