Basketball Recap: El Paso Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

El Paso won the last time they faced Jefferson and things went their way on Friday too. The El Paso Tigers blew past the Jefferson Silver Foxes 51-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Brody John went supernova for El Paso, going 6 of 15 on his way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Ordonez, who posted seven points.

El Paso smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matches.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
