Meanwhile, Watseka unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against Manteno, falling 22-10.

Seth Dirks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Mason Galyen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Watseka's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Hoopeston, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.
