Baseball Recap: Lake Central Beats Portage for Their Second Straight Win

Lake Central barely beat Portage the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Lake Central never let Portage get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Lake Central.

The result came thanks to Marc Passo's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Keegan O'Bryan was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Connor Friesema was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Lake Central's record now sits at 10-6. As for Portage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.
