It was close, but on Monday the High Point Baptist Academy Eagles sidestepped Christian School of York for an 8-6 win.

Bradon Howe made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Howe was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for High Point Baptist Academy: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6-1 otherwise.

Howe wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Davenport, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Colton Swenson was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

High Point Baptist Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-7-1. As for Christian School of York, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5-1.

As of now, neither High Point Baptist Academy nor Christian School of York have any future games scheduled.
