Soccer Recap: Thornton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crete-Monee on Tuesday, Thornton came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Kankakee Kays by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Thornton have struggled against Kankakee recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Thornton's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Kankakee, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Thornton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Bolingbrook on the 16th. As for Kankakee, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 victory against Andrew on the 11th.
