Basketball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Genoa Christian Academy had won five straight road games dating back to last season and Jackson Kirura did his part to make it six on Friday. Everything went Genoa Christian Academy's way against Granville Christian Academy as Genoa Christian Academy made off with a 74-49 win thanks in part to Kirura, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Genoa Christian Academy's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Griffey, who posted five points and five rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in February of 2024.

Genoa Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Granville Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Genoa Christian Academy will take on Temple Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Granville Christian Academy, they will challenge Madison Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Granville Christian Academy is facing Madison Christian at the right time seeing as Madison Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
