Basketball Recap: NCSSM: Durham Falls Short of Hertford County in the Playoffs

NCSSM: Durham and Hertford County squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but NCSSM: Durham had to settle for second. They fell to the Hertford County Bears 34-29. The Unicorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hertford County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiah Everette out in front who went 5-for-11 to rack up 14 points and four steals. Everette is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Karae' Alfred was another key player, putting up three points and 11 rebounds.

NCSSM: Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 11-12. As for Hertford County, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

NCSSM: Durham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hertford County, they have already played their next game, a 59-42 win against Martin County on the 28th.
