Dover had won three straight at home, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 3-4 to make it four. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the West York Area Bulldogs, sneaking past 7-5. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

As for West York Area, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 30, 2025.

For West York Area's part, Maddie McGlynn put in work no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. McGlynn has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

McGlynn wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Hughes, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
