Baseball Recap: Leadership Academy Wins Going Away Against Bishop Mcguinness

Leadership Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bishop McGuinness, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Falcons blew past the Villains 13-2 on Monday. Considering the Falcons have won five games by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Clay Smith, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Logan McDonald also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Leadership Academy now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Bishop McGuinness, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Leadership Academy beat the Villains by a score of 13-2 on Tuesday.
