Jonathan Alder took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Bellefontaine by a score of 7-4.

Taryn Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Lucy Boyd was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Riley Magginis, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Jonathan Alder kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Indian Lake entered their tilt with Northwestern on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Warriors 13-3. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.
Bre Wisener made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Wisener was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
In other batting news, Annie Rapp and MacKenzie Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Rapp went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Miller went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Mackenzie Dixon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
The victory got Jonathan Alder back to even at 9-9. As for Indian Lake, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Jonathan Alder hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .354. However, it's not like Indian Lake struggles in that department as they've averaged .329. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
