Basketball Recap: St. Augustine Comes Up Short

St. Augustine played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Creekside Knights and fell 61-22. The match marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Creekside can attribute much of their success to Presley Brinkley, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists gave Brinkley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Waters, who earned eight points and 11 rebounds.

St. Augustine has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Creekside, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

St. Augustine has already played their next contest, a 15-0 defeat against Menendez on the 17th. As for Creekside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-52 win against Bartram Trail on the 17th.
