Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Central Indians vs. Kouts Mustangs & Fillies

The Lake Central Indians will face off against the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lake Central has four straight wins, Kouts has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Lake Central got the win against La Porte by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lake Central was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Kouts didn't have quite enough to beat Crown Point on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Kouts took Crown Point into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-10, 19-25, 15-25, 15-11.

Kouts' defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Lake Central, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-6.

Lake Central took their win against Kouts in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Mustangs & Fillies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
