Soccer Game Preview: Boylan Catholic vs. Maine South

The Boylan Catholic Titans will take on the Maine South Hawks in a tournament on Wednesday. Boylan Catholic will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Boylan Catholic's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Lemont. Boylan Catholic's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

They hit Lemont with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gabe Moore, Zeke Nunez, and Luke Wedwick.

Meanwhile, Maine South's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Waubonsie Valley by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Maine South's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Waubonsie Valley are ranked 89th).

Boylan Catholic's record now sits at 13-2-1. As for Maine South, their record is now 12-3-1.
