Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Now 15-1 over Last 16 Games

Cornerstone Christian won the last time they faced Kinkaid and things went their way on Friday too. The Cornerstone Christian Warriors walked away with a 54-41 victory over the Kinkaid Falcons. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Falcons are ranked 598th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Cornerstone Christian to victory were Joaquin Galindo and Benjamin Wagner. Galindo went 5 of 11 en route to 15 points, while Wagner went 5 for 11 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. The game was Wagner's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Makaden Weathington was another key player, putting up six points.

Cornerstone Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-2 record this season. As for Kinkaid, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

Cornerstone Christian will take on Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kinkaid, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against CHSA HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m.
