Basketball Recap: Giddings Takes a Loss

Giddings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Navasota Rattlers and fell 61-24. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1274th, while the Rattlers are ranked 555th).

Giddings' record now sits at 3-16. As for Navasota, their victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-9.

Giddings will square off against Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Navasota, they will challenge Caldwell at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
