Volleyball Recap: Youngker Starts off Right with Win over Kofa

Youngker gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Kofa Kings as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Roughriders haven't had any issues with the Kings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Youngker walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10, 25-16.

Youngker can attribute much of their success to Isabella Fernandez, who had eight digs and seven aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Kofa and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Youngker will square off against McClintock at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kofa, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Paradise Valley at 6:00 p.m.
