Football Recap: Seabreeze's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

Seabreeze and Jones squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Seabreeze had to settle for second. They came up short against the Fightin' Tigers, falling 26-0. The Sandcrabs lost against the Fightin' Tigers in their previous head to head back in March of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 12-7 score last time.

Rani Gupta threw for 38 yards on six of nine attempts. Camryn Chiumento was her top target, picking up 30 receiving yards.

Jones got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was D'Niya Pryor out in front who threw for 155 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of her passes, and also rushed for 31 yards. Ronice Berry was Pryor's top target, picking up 80 receiving yards and three TDs.

Seabreeze moved to 9-8 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Jones, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Seabreeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jones, they will challenge Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Fightin' Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
