Softball Recap: Montesano Bulldogs vs. College Place Hawks        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Montesano gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on the College Place Hawks with a sharp  16-6 win. The  victory was familiar territory for Montesano who now have eight in a row.
  Kaitlyn Trail looked comfortable as she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Alyssa Maldonado was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Addi Kersker, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Montesano's win was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-3. As for College Place, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
 Montesano will be playing at home against Timberline at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for College Place, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  20-13  defeat vs. Hoquiam on the 4th.
