Basketball Recap: Choteau Comes Up Short

After flying high against Conrad last Saturday, Choteau came back down to earth. The Choteau Bulldogs were outmatched by the Malta Mustangs and fell 63-33. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Choteau's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Malta, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Choteau does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Malta, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fairfield at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Malta has won five straight at home, while Fairfield won eight straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
