Basketball Recap: Ridgefield Takes a Loss

If Ridgefield was riding high fresh off their 69-33 takedown of Woodland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ridgefield Spudders took a blow against the Columbia River Rapids on Thursday, falling 92-50. The loss was the Spudders' first of the season.

Ridgefield's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1. As for Columbia River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgefield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against WF West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia River, they will venture away from home to face off against Prairie at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
