Basketball Recap: West Orange Comes Up Short

After flying high against Innovation last Tuesday, West Orange came back down to earth. The West Orange Warriors received a blow on Wednesday as they fell 59-44 to the Winter Park Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Wildcats are ranked 47th).

West Orange's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Winter Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

West Orange won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winter Park has already played their next game (against Innovation), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
