Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is St. Luke's Third in Last Four Outings

If Greens Farms Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Luke, they should've done a better job of containing Tyler Newsom. The St. Luke's Storm were the clear victor by a 74-53 margin over the Greens Farms Academy Dragons on Thursday thanks in part to Newsom, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of St. Luke's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 3-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

St. Luke's has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Greens Farms Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
